Lafayette Instrument Company is partnering with Metriks Education, Inc. to offer private LIVE video conference training for the Acumar Inclinometer. Save money and travel time by logging in from your home or office to receive one-on-one training from an industry expert.
The Acumar training session was created for health care professionals who wish to become proficient with the Acumar Inclinometer. This is a valuable complement to the AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment. The live training shows users how to reproducibly and accurately measure range of motion (ROM) with the Acumar Inclinometer. It provides additional instruction of how to measure ROM in a systematic format for more accurate impairment ratings.
Use of range of motion measurements has been limited, partly due to criticism regarding limited reproducibility, but this issue can be alleviated with the Acumar Inclinometer, consistent measurement techniques, suitable warm-up exercises, and accurate recording of measurements. This training provides the needed instruction to limit these potential sources of variability. The training teaches the user in a step-by-step fashion the proper method to obtain and record ROM measurements for greater reproducibility and accuracy. Training will include hands on instruction on how to use the Acumar Inclinometer and how to document clinical observations.
The course will follow instruction from The Practical Guide to Range of Motion Assessment from the American Medical Association. The course is broken down into four sessions: Spine, Upper Extremity, Lower Extremity, and Hands & Feet.
As an incentive to receive this training, Metriks Education is now offering a 10% discount to Acumar users by entering in the discount code ACUMAR during registration. For a limited time, the price with the discount code is $360.00.
