Lafayette Instrument is seeking a web and social-savvy Marketing Manager to help set and implement strategic Marketing objectives for a global organization focused on cutting-edge instrumentation for life sciences, polygraph and medical device industries. You will help set, implement, and drive the strategic Marketing objectives, and lead a small team of marketing professionals as well as external partners. Solid design skills, basic web development skills, and experience with contemporary Marketing tools and methodologies are required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • As a member of the company leadership team, the marketing manager will lead strategy and execution for all core product marketing efforts.
  • Manage and deliver multi-channel marketing and communications campaigns with the input of multiple stakeholders and use of relevant marketing platforms to achieve company marketing goals, with an emphasis on:
    • Increasing brand awareness for Lafayette Instrument, Campden Instruments, Limestone Technologies, and other key brands.
    • Lead generation from digital and traditional marketing campaigns and events.
  • Collaborate with the client-facing team (sales, product management, technical support) and other functional managers to evolve marketing strategy and tactical planning in order to maximize lead generation - creating tailored campaigns around their existing clients and specific prospects and projects.
  • Identify opportunities, develop the annual strategy and manage the execution and development of the following:
    • Technical content marketing and educational materials
    • Email marketing
    • Campaigns and promotions
    • Tradeshows, conferences, and seminars
    • Communication items (newsletters, blogs, press releases, social media)

Voice of the Customer

  • Lead the development of customer-centric collateral and tools that create a positive experience for prospects, applying deep expertise in life science product purchasing patterns, buyers' needs, and the sales cycle.
  • Conduct and support formal and informal market research to distill our buyers' and customers' deepest challenges and needs.
  • Serve as an internal advocate for our customers' interests, informing the product strategy, sales strategy, and full-funnel marketing campaigns.

Competitive Analysis

  • Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of market trends and customer needs in the core life science market.
